Take Two Drama Club to present ‘The 39 Steps’ Oct. 6-7
The Take Two Drama Club will present “The 39 Steps,” at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Premier Center for the Performing Arts at Sussex Central High School.
“This play is a madcap version of the famous Hitchcock spy thriller, also called ‘The 39 Steps,’” said David Warick, Take Two advisor and Sussex Central High School drama instructor. “The trick here is that the authors have the entire movie – with over 30 parts – played on stage by only four actors. The craziness of that few people playing that many parts, make the play really funny and entertaining.”
Tickets are $13 for general admission (not including a processing fee) and $10 for seniors (not including a processing fee); Sussex Central teachers, seniors, and middle school students can enter on a two-for-one basis. Online payment is preferred at bit.ly/3qCiIUI, and Take Two offers an automatic discount for these online purchases. Tickets will also be available at the door at $15 per ticket. However, no one will be turned away for inability to pay.
The Take Two Drama Club is an independent nonprofit club and drama boosters organization that supports production of plays and musicals for Sussex Central High School students and surrounding communities. All ticket proceeds support production of future shows and assist Sussex Central students studying and creating theatre. To make a donation to Take Two, contact Warick at email@example.com.
Concessions and drinks will be available for purchase at the show.
“The 39 Steps” is presented by special permission of Concord Theatricals and Samuel French.
