August 29, 2011

Scott Butler, LMT, instructor and co-owner of The Baron & Butler Clinical Massage and Training Center invites interested individuals to an Open House and Introduction to Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Course from 3 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7, at the center, now located on Route 1 in the Rehoboth Mall near Rehoboth Beach.

The newly remodeled facility is committed to providing an excellent education to its students, who will be trained in the art and science of therapeutic massage and bodywork. The center also offers massage therapy and modality services to the general public.

“The knowledge, attitude and skills acquired by the students in this course will prepare them for the occupation of a massage practitioner. The 700-hour course will start Monday, Sept. 26, and will take a comprehensive and objective look at all the aspects of massage therapy, its history and benefits, types of massage and safety,” said Butler. “We are also proud to announce that The Baron & Butler Clinical Massage and Training Center continues to maintain the highest passing rate in the state for the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.”

“We will instill respect and commitment to professional values and prepare our students with the specialized training needed to enter the workforce, and we maintain an up-to-date list of jobs available and seek out potential employers to assist our graduates with job placement,” said Butler.

Baron & Butler Clinical Massage and Training Center graduates will train to treat specific conditions for which neuromuscular therapy has proven beneficial - acute and chronic pain issues including auto accident injury and whiplash, arthritis, neck and back pain, foot and ankle problems, shoulder pain and frozen shoulder; hip, knee and leg issues; migraine headaches; sciatica; sports and related injuries i.e., golfer's elbow, wrist injuries and tennis elbow.

While seeking to promote excellence, innovation, competence and intelligence, the center maintains a teacher-to-student-ratio of no more than 20 to 1 in Technique Class. Admission requirements include that a student must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or equivalency and provide a physician’s certificate of health.

The fall 2011 class in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays. Guaranteed financing for potential students is available through JenaMae, with flexible payments being offered. Prospective students must complete an application for admission which is available online and at the center. The cost of the 700-hour program includes the registration fee, tuition, textbooks, CPR training, student insurance and a massage table.

In addition to training future massage practitioners, the Baron & Butler Clinical Massage and Training Center provides massage services to the general public. Massage enthusiasts are encouraged to join the Baron & Butler Massage Club. Club members contract to pay a $49 monthly fee for their first one-hour massage. Then members can schedule as many massages as they wish for only $40 each. This is the perfect plan for people who utilize massage therapy in their daily lives and wish to save a little money as well.

Scott E. Butler and William D. Baron also welcome clients with doctor referrals, auto accident injuries, workman’s comp and insurance claims.
