Festival Hispano filled the streets of Georgetown Sept. 15, as the popular event celebrated its 30th anniversary.
This event was designed to celebrate the diversity of the Hispanic cultural heritage in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. More than seven event artists, 20 sponsors and 100 vendors provided music, traditional arts and crafts, and delicious traditional food with an emphasis on Latino cuisine.
“There are thousands of Latino immigrants that have migrated to this area,” said Kevin Andrade, president and CEO of The Voice Radio Network. “I want to be sure our community is known as a community that contributes, works hard and is family oriented; a community that comes from many different countries and different cultures, but has the same values. I want the Latino community to be known as a benefit.”
