Tower Beach FC camps set

Local soccer coaches start new club
March 9, 2023

Cape Henlopen High School soccer coach Patrick Kilby has started Tower Beach FC, a new club that will host camps, training and leagues in the Cape Region.

“I feel as though I have built a lot of positive relationships with the youth in our community and I am very excited to start my own business,” said Kilby. “I will be running camps with my dad Steve Kilby, and longtime friend and coach Joe Rupar. The three of us coach the Cape Henlopen High School boys’ varsity team. My dad and I will also be coaching the Cape Henlopen girls this spring.”

So far there are two soccer camps on the calendar – July 10-14 and July 24-28 – for rising first-graders through rising eighth-graders. Both camps will be held at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes.

“My hope is to run many more camps during the summer of 2024,” Kilby said. “I will look to implement a winter training program and indoor soccer league during the winter of 2024-25.”

Patrick Kilby, a teacher at Cape Henlopen High School, has a USSF National B Coaching License. He has club experience at Henlopen Soccer Club and River Soccer Club.

Steve Kilby, a teacher at Sussex Consortium, was the Indian River High School boys’ and girls’ head coach for 20 years. He was formerly director of coaching at River Soccer Club. He has a USSF National C Coaching License.

Rupar, a teach at Love Creek Elementary, has club experience with Henlopen Soccer Club. He has a USSF National E Coaching License.
