Tracy Lyn Evans, volunteer coordinator
Tracy Lyn Evans, 51, of Milford, formerly of Lewes, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
Tracy was born in Lewes Nov. 4, 1967, daughter to Robert Merrick Katz Jr. and Carol Messick (Burton) Katz. She was a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School class of 1987 and also attended Delaware Technical Community College in Georgetown.
Tracy worked as a volunteer and event coordinator for over 20 years for a local nonprofit before her disability. She loved going to the beach and making crafts. Tracy also enjoyed doodling, listening to music and taking care of her pets.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelsey Evans of Milford; her mother, Carol Katz of Milford; her father, Robert Merrick Katz Jr. of Centreville, Va.; a half-sister, Brandi Ruby of Hong Kong; and a host of friends.
A celebration of Tracy’s life will be held at noon, Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends and family may call after 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Tracy’s name to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
