Trick-or-treat activities in southern Delaware

Southern Delaware offers many opportunities to fill up Halloween pails!
 
FRIDAY, OCT. 28

• Roxana Volunteer Fire Company will host its 4th Annual Trunk or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28 at 35943 Zion Church Road, Roxana. Canned food items will be collected for the Thanksgiving food drive. 

• Sussex Family YMCA will host a fall festival from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28. A trunk or treat, s’mores, cider, and family fun games will be offered. To learn more, go to ymcade.org/fallfest.

• Dewey Business Partnership’s spooky evening will kick off with trick-or-treating at businesses along Coastal Highway from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28. Go to capegazette.com/node/247533 for more information.

OCT. 28 - 30

• The Children’s Fantasy Trail at Cape Henlopen State Park will open at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 28-30. Trick-or-treat with storybook characters along a trail lined with jack-o-lanterns. Admission is $6 per person. Trail is dependent on the weather. Call 302-645-6852 for updated information.

SATURDAY, OCT. 29

• Bethany Beach businesses will offer trick-or-treating from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, at approximately 50 participating locations displaying trick-or-treat flags. Other family-friendly activities will take place the same day during Wags, Witches & Warlocks Halloween Festival. Go to capegazette.com/node/247470 for more information.

• Downtown Rehoboth Beach merchants will host trick-or-treating from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, after a fun-filled day of Sea Witch Festival activities. Go to beach-fun.com for more information.

SUNDAY, OCT. 30

• Ellendale will present the annual Candy Rain event from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30, in the town park. Go to facebook.com/townofellendale for more information.

• Hudson Fields will be celebrating Halloween with a trunk or treat from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30. A prize will be awarded for the best trunk. Go to facebook.com/HudsonFieldsDE for more information.

• American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 will host a trunk or treat event from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30, in the pavilion at 31768 Legion Road, Millsboro. In the event of ghostly weather, the event will move inside the bingo hall.  Attendees will trick or treat from car to car, trunk to trunk. The event is open to the public. • Milton’s trick-or-treating will be 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31. For more information, go to milton.delaware.gov.

• Lewes’ trick-or-treating will be 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31. For more information, call city hall at 302-645-7777.

• The parking lot adjacent to Conley’s United Methodist Church will host safe and child-friendly trick-or-treating from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31.
