U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 12-09 installs officers, sets meeting Jan. 10

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 12-09 (5NR) held its Christmas holiday dinner and recognition Dec. 13 at the Cripple Creek Golf and Country Club in Dagsboro. Following dinner, a video was presented on the history of Milford shipbuilding. Staff officers for 2017 were sworn in by BMC Jim Pond and DVDR Warren Huff. As the civilian component of the U.S. Coast Guard, the flotilla is dedicated to educating the public in boating safety. The next Flotilla 12-09 meeting will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, at U.S. Coast Guard Station Indian River.
