Delves into the minds of juvenile offenders
October 21, 2015

The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware will present “Justice For All: The Documentary” at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6, at the church’s new facility at 30486 Lewes-Georgetown Highway west of Lewes. Admission is free to the public. The UUSD Social and Environmental Justice Committee is sponsoring the screening.

A potluck dinner will be held before the screening starting at 6:30 p.m. Sherry Dorsey Walker, director, writer and producer of the film, will lead the discussion after the screening.

“Justice For All: The Documentary” delves into the minds of juvenile offenders who commit minor crimes, and examines the system to rehabilitate youths. The film points out that too often, youths “graduate” from the juvenile justice system and matriculate into adult prisons. The documentary shows how children and their families are affected by the juvenile justice system when they are sentenced to lengthy time in penal facilities. The film identifies problems that exist in the juvenile system and offers some solutions.

Walker earned a master's in film productions from Howard University and a bachelor of arts from the University of Delaware in English/Journalism.
