United Way names Crystal Timmons Sussex County community relations associate

United Way of Delaware recently named Crystal Timmons as its Sussex County community relations associate. Timmons will be responsible for fundraising, community engagement activities and advancing UWD’s relationships with stakeholders throughout Sussex County.

Her position will emphasize building and maintaining grassroots relationships with funders, social service partners, community and faith leaders, elected officials and others throughout the county, where she will advance UWD’s mission to improve the quality of life for all Delawareans by focusing on improving community outcomes in the areas of education, income and health.

Timmons most recently served as the Sussex/Kent branch manager for the Food Bank of Delaware, based in Milford, where she had been coordinating food bank activities throughout both counties since 2007. Prior to the Food Bank of Delaware, she held various management and administrative positions with Muncie Insurance and Financial Services in Dover and the medical offices of Drs. Rowe and Tamese in Dover. She began her professional career as a retail manager for The Limited.
