UUSD’s Big Top annual auction to be held April 22 in Lewes

April 9, 2017

The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware in Lewes will host their annual auction starting at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 22. This year's theme, the Big Top Auction, will showcase the thrills and surprises of the auction circus coming to UUSD with lions, clowns, gorillas and much more.

There will be a silent auction starting at 3 p.m. and a live auction at 4:30 p.m., with a variety of unique and diverse items including artwork, handcrafted items, vacation getaways, jewelry, glassware, dinners and more. A 50/50 raffle and a covered dish dinner at 5:40 p.m. will round out a memorable afternoon and circus auction experience.

Auction coordinator Kris Acker said, "Our annual auctions are always very popular with the congregation and the public. It is a wonderful way for people to enjoy themselves and to help UUSD carry out its important mission in the community. We are particularly grateful for the generosity of the many local businesses, friends and members, who donate wonderful goods and services to make our annual auction a huge success."

The address is 30486 Lewes Georgetown Highway, Lewes. An entrance donation of $5 is requested. UUSD is a welcoming and progressive spiritual community. Proceeds will support their mission to nurture spiritual growth, embrace diversity, work for justice and strive for a loving world.
