Vikings spike Seahawks 3-0 for fifth win of season

Sussex Academy came out energized, but Cape quickly grabbed momentum
April 27, 2026

The Cape boys’ volleyball team hopped back into the win column April 23, earning a 3-0 win over local rival Sussex Academy.

The Seahawks managed to hang around at the start of the first set, but the bigger school with the bigger boys went on a late run to come away with a 25-15 first-set win.

As the match went on, the depth of the hosts played a major factor, and Cape won the second set 25-13 and the final set 25-10 for a 3-0 victory.

Cape moves to 2-0 in the Henlopen Conference, without losing a single set, and 5-3 overall.

Sussex Academy falls to 3-5 and could get above .500 with a three-match week April 27 through May 1.
