The Community Resource Center, a not-for-profit agency, recently received a $1,000 grant from the Rehoboth Beach Walmart to assist with providing food and shelter for those experiencing homelessness this coming winter. The center, at 37510 Oyster House Road, Rehoboth, has a day center where clients are welcomed with showers, meals, and laundry facilities. They may obtain assistance with finding work, housing and other resources.
This is the third year that the generosity of Walmart has made a measurable difference in allowing the center to extend hours and open on weekends when winter temperatures are dangerously low.
