We need to act before it is too late

February 23, 2017

During a recent press conference, President Trump said, "We're a very powerful nuclear country and so are they (meaning Russia), I've been briefed. And I can tell you one thing about a briefing that we're allowed to say, because anybody that ever read the most basic book can say it, nuclear holocaust would be like no other."

So the president wants to ally the U.S. with the Putin government as he contemplates 95 percent of all the nuclear weaponry in the world united. For what? Who are our allies then? And if Putin attacks more nations, what do we do as an ally?

We know Putin wants oil and gas resources. And then there is Secretary of State Tillerson, an oil man. Then there's Steve Bannon in place at the National Security Council, who has espoused an extended war with Islam for a long time.

The Republicans in control in Congress need to take back war powers and the nuclear launch codes now, before it is too late.
