Wesley Paulson takes a bow

A gathering was held at Clear Space Theatre April 19 in Rehoboth Beach to honor the retirement of former Executive Director Wesley Paulson. 

Paulson accepted his retirement award on stage under the theater lights he knew so well. He shared memories with the crowd of admirers, noting that it seems everyone has a story about “Bye Bye Birdie,” that Mary Poppins was the music of his childhood, and a performance like “Rabbit Hole” was a different kind of theater. Often asked what he is most proud of, Paulson shared he has immense gratitude that Clear Space survived COVID. He went on to reflect on the blessing that is the Clear Space’s wonderful staff and donors.

As Paulson stood in front of the familiar red curtain, he took a bow as the retired executive director of Clear Space Theatre.
