Wilhelmina Elizabeth Davis, Atlanta Braves fan

Wilhelmina (Mina) Elizabeth Davis departed this life Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Saturday, June 7, 1941, in Milton, to Annie Hazzard Burton and Eric Nelson Hazzard.

Wilhelmina graduated from William C. Jason High School. She worked as a USDA government inspector with Perdue Farms for over 20 years. She retired in the early 1990s.

Wilhelmina was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She loved watching John Wayne movies, NCIS, and doing crossword puzzles. Wilhelmina loved spending time with her family. For many years she would host the family Thanksgiving dinner. She enjoyed attending family barbecues and the annual Davis Family Reunion.

Wilhelmina was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Davis; sister, Barbara Sumlin; daughter, Tina Hazzard; son, Keith Davis; stepson, Curtis Davis Sr.; and grandson, Curtis Davis Jr.

Wilhelmina leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Julia Mifflin (Andre) of Seaford; grandchildren, Kesha Davis of Lincoln, Tre’Eisha Mifflin (Wisdom) of  Newport News, Va., and Antione and De’Andre Mifflin, both of Seaford; great-grandchildren, Lamiaha and Kemar Davis of Lincoln, and Ryneer Mifflin-Scott of Milford; daughter-in-law, Sally Davis of Lincoln; sister, Gwendolyn Harris of Rehoboth Beach; goddaughters, Sylvia Harris of Millsboro, and Kesha Wilkins; a special friend, Rodney Harmon of Virginia Beach, Va.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon, Saturday, Jan. 7, at Wesley Chapel U.M. Church, 23115 Slaughter Neck Road, Lincoln. Family and friends may visit two hours prior to the service.
