William F. Stout Jr., loved the outdoors

William F. “JR” Stout Jr., 67, of Lincoln, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, in Milton.

JR was born May 21, 1954, in Milford, to the late William F. Stout Sr. and Margaret Phyllis Smith. 

JR was a member of the Broadkiln VFW Post 6984 in Milton. He loved going to car shows, where he adored AC Cobras. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He was known for his laid-back and free-spirited attitude but did have a stubborn streak. 

In addition to his father, JR is preceded in death by his wife, Karen (Locklin) Stout; and his sister, Colleen Jackson. 

JR will be greatly missed by his mother, Margaret P. Stout; his daughter, Jamie Stout-Marker and husband George; his siblings, Billy Stout, Cathy Melvin, Henry Stout, Wayne Stout, Danny Stout, Debbie Stout, Emma Bailey and John Stout; his granddaughter, Brooklyn Annslee Marker; his companion, Gwen Fickes; his K-9 companions, Raven, Sassy and Zoey; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and -nephews; and an innumerable number of friends he made through the years.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton. A time of visitation will begin at 5 p.m.
