William H. Morris, maintenance director

William H. Morris, 68 of Dagsboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Friday, June 17, 2011, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

Mr. Morris was born in Baltimore, Md., son of the late William and Margaret (Loewer) Morris.  He was a veteran of Vietnam serving in the U.S. Air Force.  Bill was the director of the maintenance department at Lewes Convalescent Center, an engineer at the Carousel Hotel in Ocean City, Md. and also worked in the sales department at Millsboro Ford before his disability.  Mr. Morris was a member of the Selbyville Assembly of God Church, the Promise Keepers and the NRA.  Bill was deeply devoted to his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia C. (Schunck) Morris; a son, Steven Morris and his wife Emily of Selbyville; a daughter, Kimberly Morris Murray of Lewes; a brother, James Morris and his wife Noreen of Baltimore; two sisters, Kathy Loewer and Victoria Sagal and her husband Wayne all of Baltimore; and three grandchildren, Matthew Thomas of Texas, Jacob Murray of Lewes and Chloe Morris of Selbyville.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, June 24, at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, where friends and family may call after 11:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Bill’s name to the Selbyville Assembly of God Church, 59 N. Main St., Selbyville, DE 19975 or the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
