Wind farm should be built off Ocean City

May 13, 2022

I just read the letter submitted by Diann Corsnitz of Lewes titled “Delaware should have offshore wind rights,” and just want to say amen. I have equipped my house with both geothermal heating/cooling and solar panels, so you could say I'm doing my part to help the environment. But why should Delawareans have to look at those windmills when we aren't benefiting from them? Should I have been allowed to install my solar panels on my neighbor’s roof because they have better sun there and I didn't want to affect my property values? Absolutely not! So again, why is our view of the horizon being altered for the benefit of another state? Build the wind farm off the coast of Ocean City!
