Women’s Club of Milton raffling ‘Ocean Breeze’ quilt

June 5, 2022

The Women's Club of Milton recently received the donation of a quilt handmade by Dee Peters, a club member since 2021.

Peters worked on projects for Quilts of Valor and Sussex County Quilts for Love, among other nonprofit organizations.

Her work has won awards at the Clearfield County Fair in Pennsylvania, and the Delaware State Fair for two consecutive years.

This particular quilt has been appropriately named "Ocean Breeze," which is inspired by its beautiful colors. A matching storage pillowcase is include to keep the quilt in low light and dust-free. With an approximate value of more than $750, the quilt measures 60-by-74-inches, which could be considered a throw or twin size.

To support the club’s fundraising efforts for scholarships and helping those in need, the quilt is being raffled, with tickets available for $5 each or three for $12. To  purchase a ticket, visit the Women's Club of Milton table at upcoming events or call 302-664-1864 and leave a message.

The raffle drawing will be held during the Milton Holly Festival at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10.

Club members extend a heartfelt thank you to Dee Peters for her generous support.
