Wonder of Our Hands workshop on Jin Shin Jyutsu set July 2 in Lewes

June 25, 2015

The Wonder of Our Hands will be the Summer Spirituality Series topic at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 2, in St. Peter's parish hall at 211 Mulberry St. in Lewes.

Anna Maria Kihn will lead an interactive workshop on Jin Shin Jyutsu, demonstrating the relationship of individual fingers to various parts of the body. The association of fingers with feelings, emotions and colors will be included.

Knowing one’s self is a mantra of Jin Shin Jyutsu. Juri Muro introduced modern Jin Shin. He lived in Japan and studied the ancient art in the monasteries there. Mary Burmeister brought the art to the United States after World War II. Jin Shin Jyutsu suggests that people can be channels through which cosmic energy can flow. Kihn studied Jin Shin Jytsu with Burmeister. She continues her studies and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others.

The Summer Spirituality Series will be held at 7 p.m. every Thursday evening through Labor Day. All presentations are free and open to the public. Fellowship and ice cream cones will follow the presentation. For more information, call 302-645-8479 or go to www.stpeterslewes.org.
