Worcester Prep lower school students showcase music and art

July 19, 2025

Worcester Preparatory School families and friends gathered to enjoy the spring music and art program, “The Field Trip,” performed by students in pre-K through fifth grade.

Directed by Joanie Brittingham, lower school music educator, the showcase featured more than 200 students singing, dancing and taking the audience on a creative journey across America’s national parks. Along the way, students shared fun facts and fascinating discoveries that brought their virtual field trip to life.

The program also included a special fifth-grade promotion ceremony, celebrating the students' transition to middle school.

Following the performance, guests were invited to explore a vibrant display of student artwork in the field house. Guided by Catherine Roman, lower school art teacher, students created pieces inspired by this year’s theme, tying together the music and visual arts components of the event.
