World AIDS Day service set Nov. 30 in Rehoboth Beach

November 20, 2025

The community is invited to come together Sunday, Nov. 30, in Rehoboth Beach to mark World AIDS Day with a multi-faith, secular service themed Living in a World with HIV.

The event honors those lost to AIDS and celebrates the resilience of people living with HIV today, as well as those who provide care and advocacy.

Participants will gather at 5:30 p.m. at CAMP Rehoboth Community Center on Baltimore Avenue and take part in a candlelight procession to All Saints’ Episcopal Church on Olive Avenue, where the service will be held at 6 p.m. with a reception immediately following in the parish hall. The event welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds. Those with limited mobility and anyone who is unable to participate in the procession are encouraged to join directly at All Saints’.

The service will feature reflections from community members and a reading of names of those lost to the AIDS epidemic, submitted by community members. To submit names for remembrance, go to camprehoboth.com/worldaidsday. Local musicians and Alliance singers of the CAMP Rehoboth Chorus will perform during the program.

Once again, CAMP Rehoboth will host a portion of the AIDS Quilt for viewing on several dates leading up to and following the service at All Saints’ Church. An enduring national symbol of love and remembrance, the quilt will serve as a powerful visual backdrop for the service as attendees remember the many lives lost to AIDS and reflect on its continued impact today.

This year’s World AIDS Day event is a collaborative effort sponsored by CAMP Rehoboth, Sussex Pride, All Saints’ & St. George’s Episcopal Parish, Community Lutheran Church, Seaside Jewish Community, Epworth United Methodist Church, Metropolitan Community Church of Rehoboth Beach, Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware and Westminster Presbyterian Church.
