Zwaanendael Women’s Club food drive kicks off Feb. 1
The GFWC Zwaanendael Women’s Club is sponsoring a winter food drive to benefit the Epworth Food Pantry and has partnered with local businesses for food collection.
Donations can be dropped off from Sunday, Feb. 1 to Saturday, Feb. 28, at Lloyd’s Market, 611 Savannah Road, Lewes, and Rise Fitness and Adventure, 35770 Airport Road, Rehoboth Beach.
Club members will be on hand to accept donations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14, at Lloyd’s Market.
Online donations will also be accepted via Zelle at zclublewes@gmail.com.
Requested food donations are Spam, canned chicken, pancake mix and syrup, canned fruit, potatoes in pouches or boxes, boxed pasta and sauce in plastic containers, salad dressing, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, peanut butter, and jams and jellies. Personal care items needed are full-size containers of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, deodorant and toothpaste.
The Epworth Food Pantry is open to those in need of food from 12 to 2 p.m., Sundays; 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Tuesdays; and 2 to 4 p.m., Thursdays at 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach.
