Daffodils ready for Milton St. Patrick’s Day Parade March 8

March 7, 2020

The daffodils around the town clock and throughout Union and Federal streets have all bloomed in time to watch the 13th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade this Sunday, March 8. The flowers in front of Ogre’s Grove (the historic house in the background of the first photo) have been returning every spring since we opened, even though they’re no stranger to getting stepped on by excited attendees. I should probably put out a table to protect them tomorrow. Look at their beautiful baby blossoms in the second photo!

The parade doesn’t start until 2pm, but the Lucky Leprechaun 5K begins at 11am, so there will be plenty of people-watching to do during the day - even if you forget to spring your clocks forward. If this year’s parade is comparable to last year’s with more than 75 entries, there’s going to be lots of green to see and not just in nature.
