Share your favorite Cape Alum with us

CHEF
October 9, 2015

Thus far, we have highlighted 9 fantastic CHSD alumni, and every day that I am in the community representing CHEF and CHSD, I find amazing people who have graduated from Cape.  Our initial series included a wide array of interesting people with amazing stories and fond memories of their time at CHSD.

Eric Sugrue, Bryan Stevenson & Jim Baker have carved out successful careers in the business world.  Carrie Lingo remains an example of an amazing female athlete and she has become an integral part of her family's real estate business.

Tom & Alyssa Burn have successfully navigated both the business world and field of education.

Emily Walls, Lisa Morris and Bill Collick have come full circle and now grace the halls of the very schools they attended.

Although different, all of these individuals share a common thread; they are individually and as a collective, "Cape Proud".  This is evident in their continued support of our schools, and the fact that many of their children attend schools in our district.

Moving forward, we have already selected several outstanding graduates, but we welcome your input and we would love to hear from YOU about individuals you would like to see highlighted in the coming weeks!  We are looking for people who make all of us "Cape Proud."

  • The Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation’s (CHEF) principal objectives are to inspire learning and to prepare all students for a healthy, productive life in a diverse and global society. To help accomplish these goals, we seek to engage the entire community--educators, parents, business, civic and legislative leaders.

It is with these thoughts in mind that “Cape Rocks” highlights some of Cape’s brightest and best. The amazing stories and individuals reflected here are an integral part of our community. They make the Cape Henlopen School District and the surrounding area a truly amazing place to live.
