Pauline Cottingham was recognized March 17 by Westminster Presbyterian Church for the many years of service she has given. The group of over 70 members and friends gathered at Jake's Seafood on Coastal Highway for the annual St. Patrick’s Day dinner. It is just one of the many fellowship functions Cottingham has organized over the years.
At the dinner, after giving the blessing, Pastor Frank Deming reminded attendees that St. Patrick was not Irish, but in reality an Englishman who went to Ireland to gather more people into the church. Like St. Patrick, Westminster Presbyterian, where there is always Room for All, welcomes newcomers to the church. During April and May the church will be encouraging members to bring a friend along.
However, there’s no need to wait for an invitation; visitors are welcome any Sunday.
Worship begins at 10 a.m. and is followed by a fellowship hour and an adult study group focusing on contemporary issues. Westminster Presbyterian Church is on the corner of King Charles Avenue and Laurel Street in downtown Rehoboth Beach, just one block from the Boardwalk and ocean.
