Paddle Fest at Abbott's Mill Nature Center set June 11

Delmarva Board Sport Adventures, the area’s original and leading paddleboard adventure company and retailer, announces Paddle Fest at Abbott’s Mill Nature Center. The event is scheduled to take place from 12 to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 11 (rain date Sunday June 12, same time). Delmarva Board Sport Adventures will be on site with paddleboards and kayaks for rentals, lessons and excursions.

This event is for people who love to paddleboard and kayak, those who would like to try it for the first time or those who are thinking of purchasing their own paddleboard. Reservations are suggested.

Delmarva Board Sports Adventures is a family friendly company that values teaching proper paddling safety while providing a great experience for those who enjoy board sports.The company will donate a portion of the rental and excursions proceeds to Delaware Nature Society.

Abbott’s Mill Nature Center represents a unique partnership between Delaware’s Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs, and Division of Fish and Wildlife, which own the facilities and majority of lands, and Delaware Nature Society, a statewide nonprofit organization which manages the site and owns a minority of the lands.

Delaware Nature Society has been connecting people to the natural world to improve the environment through education, conservation and advocacy for over a half-century, and is currently celebrating Abbott’s Mill Nature Center’s 35th anniversary.
