RAL Cottage Tour homeowners receive original artwork of their homes

Annual event slated July 12-13
July 7, 2016

On June 30 the Rehoboth Art League hosted a Patron Party for the 2016 Cottage Tour home owners, sponsors, patrons and volunteers who make the annual tour a great success. The 130 attendees were an indication of just how popular this tour is. Featured artist Mick Williams presented each of the seven homeowners with the framed original watercolor painting of their home. He also presented the Rehoboth Art League with an original painting of the campus’s historic Peter Marsh Homestead, which is always a highlight of the Cottage Tour.

The Tuesday and Wednesday, July 12-13 Cottage Tour will include seven exceptional private homes and the Rehoboth Art League’s historic Homestead.  J. Conn Scott, tour underwriter, has begun the interior makeover of the Homestead.  Richard Scott and Lisa Scott are blending modern furnishings and decorations to complement the historical design in the three main rooms of the Homestead.

The self-paced tour takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. There is free parking at the Rehoboth Elementary School at 500 Stockley St. Ext. and the art league provides Jolly Trolley shuttle service to each home on the tour.

Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased at www.rehobothartleague.org, by calling 302-227-8408, and at these locations: in Rehoboth Beach, Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane, Henlopen Acres, Bellinger’s Jewelers, Browseabout Books, Farmer Girl Exotic Gardens, J.
