The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Primeros Pasos Early Learning Center in its new facility in Georgetown June 23. Primeros Pasos Inc. is a nonprofit early learning center whose mission for the last 20 years has been to ensure that culturally diverse students are fully prepared for kindergarten and will be successful in their regular school classes.

On April 5, Primeros Pasos moved to the new facility from St. Paul’s Church in Georgetown, which enabled it to double its enrollment.

The opening would not have been possible without the financial support from many foundations and trusts, USDA, Delaware Dept. of Education Early Head Start, state and county governments, local banks, the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware, area churches and businesses, as well as many personal donations from individuals.
