I have been a subscriber to the Cape Gazette for years. My husband and I live in Maryland, so the paper arrives in the mail. I have read so many informative articles, tried some great recipes, watched as subscribers have taken the paper with them on their travels, etc.
There was an article in the May 15-17 edition "Henry: the Eagles' good-luck charm," and I just have to write and comment on it. I'm not an Eagles fan, so I have no appreciation for the history of the team that Jack Hoban set forth in his article, although I can appreciate what he was saying. What really moved me about the article, and prompted me to take a minute and write this email was when he was speaking of his family members. His dear widowed mom and the others who have gone on, and how they would have loved to see the win. The admiration he had for his grandson and how he shared the Eagles victory with his sister.
When I was done with the article, I was left with a warm, happy feeling. Young Henry will be just fine, and have a wonderful life with a family that loves him and a grandfather that is sure he is a good-luck charm. I made a copy of the article to send to my mom in San Diego, and I also shared the article with a lady at work who is a diehard Eagles fan, both of whom I think will also appreciate the article.
The best of luck to Jack and his grandson Henry (who I understand will be a Giants fan). My dad was a Giants fan. Seems Henry is a winner all around. Thanks for making my day.
