Evolution Craft Brewing wins Best in Show at Maryland Craft Beer Competition

Evolution Craft Brewing Co. won the Best in Show Award for its Delmarva Pure Pilsner at the Maryland Craft Beer Competition. The judging was held Aug. 18, and the event is a fundraiser for the Brewers Association of Maryland. This marks Evolution’s second year in a row for this award.

Also, its Lucky Porter 7 and Bourbon Barrel Aged Rise Up Coffee Russian Imperial Stout won bronze medals. Evolution delivered 10 of its beers to Calvert Brewing Company for evaluation by certified beer judges; the contest included entrants in 18 categories.

Evolution Craft Brewing Co. was founded by Tom and John Knorr in 2009. The brewery started in Delmar, Delaware, and moved to Salisbury, Md., in 2012 to meet growing demand.
