Members of the Rehoboth High School Class of 1948 celebrated the 70th anniversary of their June 8, 1948 graduation with a luncheon at Mulligan’s Pointe in Georgetown. In attendance were classmates, spouses and friends Virginia “Ginnie” Savage Caras, Ellie Tikiob Vansant, Janet Vansant Raphins (class valedictorian) and husband Jerry Raphins, Shirley Thomas Graham and daughter Sunday, and Harry Howeth and wife Yvonne.
Graduates still living but unable to attend were Eleanor Phillips Cordrey of Lewes, class salutatorian; Robert Burton, now living in Minnesota; and Albert “Reds” Lemaire, a legendary RHS football player now living in Montana.
