Accent on Travel to present info session Jan. 4 at Lewes library

Company owners attend cruise ship christening
December 30, 2018

Accent on Travel owners Rick and Annette Stellhorn were guests of Celebrity Cruises for the inaugural sailing and naming ceremony of the Celebrity Edge Dec. 4. Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate, christened the ship. Accent on Travel will host an audiovisual presentation on the newest Celebrity ship’s innovative design, onboard experiences, and cruise itineraries at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4, at the Lewes Public Library.

“Celebrity’s new Edge is leading the way in cruising, attracting people who prefer less crowds, smaller public spaces, and less party atmosphere typical of the big ships,” said Annette Stellhorn. Based on her experiences cruising on more than 124 ships including expedition, small, mega, and sailing, Stellhorn notes this ship is a great large-ship option for travelers who typically prefer small ships. “The ship is the first of her kind uniquely built in 3D, not in the traditional 2D layout, which allowed the designers to take advantage of typically unused space to make small public alcoves and a more natural flow of traffic. T

his is also obvious in everything from the redesign of the standard balcony stateroom to the beautiful suites. New single cabins provide a great option for those traveling with a group of family or friends but preferring solo accommodations, and the Magic Carpet use for embarking and disembarking in ports, but public space at sea is ingenious,” noted Stellhorn in her short ship review on her blog at www.accentontravel.us.

The presentation will cover the ship’s unique design and experiences, and the cruise itineraries currently available for reservations for any past Celebrity Cruise alumni and those interested in cruising on the new Edge. Certified cruise advisors will be in attendance. RSVPs are required by Jan. 2, but the presentation is complimentary.
