Zoom-Zooms MS Walk team meets $22K fundraising goal

To help those suffering with debilitating multiple sclerosis, the Sussex County MS Shore Group held its 3rd annual MS Foundation Walk May 10, kicking off at the Colonial East community in Rehoboth Beach. Funds raised are used to directly help those who live with MS day to day.

The Zoom-Zooms MS Walk team has been the top MS Walk fundraiser in Delaware for the last few years, and they aimed to maintain that ranking during the 2019 event. Top fundraisers include Kay Oesterling, Patty Bennett and Dee Santana. The Zoom-Zooms team met its $22,000 goal, bringing its total to $300,000 raised for MS during the last 18 years.

The grand marshal of the walk again this year was Kody O’Bear, official ambassador for the Kody’s Kids organization, which inspires kids to grow up smarter, healthier and kinder.
