Demolition continues at Rehoboth Elementary little building

August 5, 2019

Demolition of Rehoboth Elementary’s little building got underway July 16, when workers began dismantling the nearly 60-year-old building.

Cape Director of Capital Projects Brian Bassett said a bus lane and multipurpose recreational area will occupy the space of the former school.

Bassett said the new elementary school is set to open to students in September. The big Rehoboth Elementary building, the former Rehoboth High School, will be demolished after asbestos is removed in late fall.
