Polymer clay pendant workshop at Rehoboth Art League Nov. 23

November 17, 2019

Rehoboth Art League will offer a workshop, From Polymer to Artifact: Polymer Clay Pendant, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23.

Attendees will learn how to turn a piece of polymer clay into a faux ancient artifact. Local artist Jeannette Faber will teach students how to use push molds and rubber stamps or free hand sculpture to form their piece. Then the class will work with alcohol inks, acrylic paint, and crackle glazes to achieve the final product. Each student will leave with a finished pendant or pin. The registration fee for the all-day workshop is $85 per person. All supplies are included in the registration fee.

Faber has been working with polymer clay for 25 years; she started teaching classes in the medium about 20 years ago. She was one of the first artists to discover this wonderful product and has explored many of the chameleon properties of this clay as well as its sculptural abilities. Her work is sold in galleries and art shows throughout the Eastern Shore region.

To register, go to www.rehobothartleague.org or call 302-227-8408, Ext. 112. All workshops are held at the Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane, Henlopen Acres.
