October 14, 2020

Carl Edwin Anderson Jr., 64, of Lincoln, best known as Ed or Eddie, passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020. He was born Dec. 10, 1955, in White Hall, Md.

He was the eldest son of Carl Edwin Anderson Sr. and Patricia Lee Anderson (Leffel); the husband to Ana Sanchez-Anderson; proud father of Juliet A. Anderson Mayers, Kate E. Anderson-Tubbesing, Elizabeth M. Poe, Teresa K. Anderson-Farrell, and Annette S. Anderson; the grandfather to Carley R. Mayers, Roslyn N. Mayers, Chance M. Farrell, Gideon J. May, Charm R. Farrell, Alexa M. Poe, Breanna E. Poe, Caliyah K. Farrell, Zoey L. Tubbesing and Cash R. Farrell; and the adoptive grandfather to Austin B. Davis. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, and the whole Sanchez family from Lima, Peru.

Ed was a charismatic and simple man, and was always willing to lend a hand. He was an alumni of the University of Maryland. Early on, he was a farmer who worked hard and loved the Caparu Family Farm he grew up on. In his later years, he was a plumber on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He served as a wonderful coach at the Ocean City Rec. Dept. for years. He loved gardening, fishing, going to auctions, and being with the ones he loved.

He spent his final years in Lincoln with his dearest wife, Ana, and daughter, Annette. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milford. His love of his family, and the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles will always be a great remembrance of him. He was one of the good ones. Until we meet again.

Funeral Services will be held at Berry-Short Funeral Home in Milford, Friday, Oct. 16, at 5:30 p.m. A time of visitation will begin at 5 p.m. All in attendance must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing and gathering protocols.
