Milton Historic Preservation Commission unanimously approved an application Oct. 19 to build a screened porch at the rear of the Inn The Doghouse bed and breakfast.
Inn The Doghouse owner Annette Babich said the porch would be 16-by-16-feet in the back of the property at 428 Federal St. Babich said the porch would start adjacent to the living room and extend out, allowing her to be able to exit the house from the living room.
The house is in the town’s historic district, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Any alterations to historic properties come under the jurisdiction of the committee, which determines whether the alterations change the house’s historic character.
