Delaware Small Business Chamber marks 10 years of service

November 22, 2021

The Delaware Small Business Chamber is celebrating its 10th year supporting the Delaware small business community and being a valuable resource for business owners.

Founded in late 2011, the chamber is a statewide resource for small businesses, focusing on companies with 100 or fewer employees, as well as larger companies that economically support local entrepreneurs.

During the past 10 years, the chamber has helped more than 500 small businesses start or build their companies. It also has hosted more than 1,000 events including mixers, seminars, ribbon-cutting ceremonies and networking programs to help members build business and personal relationships.

During the pandemic, the Delaware Small Business Chamber stayed open and provided more than 125 virtual and in-person events to give members opportunities to continue doing businesses during the most difficult times. This year, the Delaware Small Business Chamber became the first organization in Delaware to offer an enhanced digital program to members that will continue to give businesses even more ways to reach out to other companies and the public.

“Even with the pandemic and many small businesses hurting, the DSBC has been in the forefront of helping our small business community and continues to offer great value to members,” said Bob Older, president and founder of the Delaware Small Business Chamber. “We are glad to see many small business owners and organizations taking advantage of the benefits we continue to offer. Ten years is the first of hopefully many milestones for us.”
