Candice Wilkinson in Register of Wills race

Republican primary upcoming in Sussex County row office election
May 12, 2022

Lifelong Republican and Ellendale resident Candice Green Wilkinson has announced her candidacy in the Republican primary for Sussex County Register of Wills. She is the daughter of former Register of Wills Cindy Green, who now represents District 2 on Sussex County Council. Wilkinson served as her campaign manager and treasurer.

“With the onslaught of radical policies coming from Dover and Washington, D.C., we need more committed conservatives in local offices to push back on government overreach and higher taxes, and fight for local control,” Wilkinson said after filing election papers May 11.

“My reasons for running are very simple: I want to keep taxes and fees low in Sussex County, and do what I can to ensure our county remains the best place in Delaware to live, work, raise a family and retire,” she said.

She is married to Jeremy, and the couple has two daughters, MaKynlee, 9, and Adeline, 4. She works at a Milton healthcare facility where she is a registrar and patient care technician.

Republican Greg Fuller is also running for the office currently held by Republican Ellen Magee. She was appointed in January 2021 to the office by Gov. John Carney to fill a vacancy after Cindy Green won the District 2 council seat.

The Republican primary will be Tuesday, Sept. 13.
