Summer League Week 2

Elementary Division

The Tides defeated the Dunes by a final of 2-0 with Evan Chubb scoring both goals. Evelyn Hale assisted on one of the goals. In the other Monday night game, the Guards ran over the Waves by a final of 6-1. Scoring for the Guards were Tenley Hazzard (3), Brielle DiStefano and Ellis Hay (2). Emerson Allen had the solo goal for the Waves.

On Wednesday evening the Waves bounced back with a 3-1 win over the Tides. Emerson Allen (2) and Jada Ricketts did the scoring for the Waves while Mazie McCord had the goal for the Tides. The Guards defeated the Dunes by a 5-0 count with goals by Jillian Reed (3), and Tenley Hazzard (2).

Senior Division

On Monday, the Baffins shut out the Corals with two goals in the second quarter and another pair of goals in the third quarter. Emma Westbrook’s goal ended up being the game winner with Rilyn Lehman added to the lead late in the 2^ndquarter. Emma Lehman and Olivia Balback completed the scoring for the Baffins in the 3^rd quarter. In game two of the night, Presley Bebout got an early goal for the Pumas in the second quarter but Avery Congelton tied the game less than two minutes later and the game entered half time at 1-1. Bebout got her second goal late in the third quarter and Brynn Bowen pushed the lead to 3-1 going into the fourth. Addison Wood scored the final goal for the Pumas at 5:15 remaining. While osephine Peranteau’s goal for the Bengals at 2:57 finished the game with a final of 4-2. The last game of the night was a 6-0 win for the Artics over the Seahawks. Abby Kane, Ally Miller (2), and Hailey Moore (3) had the tallies for the Artics.

On Wednesday, the Bengals overcame the Seahawks with a goal in each quarter to make the final 4-0. Congelton (2) and Kaleigh Cordrey (2) did the damage for the Bengals. The middle game of the evening was a very close game with the Artics finally pulling it out for a 3-1 win over the Baffins. Liv Muir started the scoring with a 1^st quarter goal and Hailey Moore scored in the 2^nd quarter to make the halftime score 2-0. Lily Ashby scored early in the 3^rd quarter to pull the Baffins within a goal but Abby Kane iced the game with her goal at 2:26 in the 4^th.

Maggie Dawson and Sommer Dorman scored opening half goals for for the Corals, but Jaiden Schaeffer had a goal at 2:07 for the Pumas making the first half score 2-1. Kenni Adamolekun got the game tying goal at 1:18 left in the 3^rdquarter. Both teams had opportunities to take the lead in the 4^th quarter but were unable to break the tie.

Play continues on Monday, June 20^th, with the elementary division starting play at 6:00-

 followed by the senior Division at 6:45.
