Summer League Week 6 Conclusion

Elementary Division Championship Game

The #1 seeded Guards were able to withstand many shots on cage from the #2 seeded Waves and earned the gold medal with a 4-1 win. Ellis Hay opened the scoring late in the 1^st quarter to give the Guards the lead. Tenley Hazzard added to the lead with her 2^nd quarter goal, before completing her hat trick. Emerson Allen got the solo goal for the Waves. Congratulations to both teams for a well-played game.

Senior Division Championship Game

As so often in championship games in Delaware Shore’s summer league, the #1 seeded, Artics, fell to the #2 seeded, Baffins. The Baffins got on the scoreboard first with a goal by Olivia Stafford at 4:15 of the 1^st quarter. Emily Stafford added to the lead with her goal at 1:40 in the 2^nd quarter. Harper Serman pushed the lead to 3-0 with a goal at 4:03 of the 3^rd quarter, Macy Long scored at :50 to make the score 3-1 entering the 4^th quarter. Both teams had multiple opportunities to put the ball into the cage by strong goalkeeping efforts by Allyson Clark and Savannah Strauss denied the teams any more socres.
