Magical Beans

Remember that wonderful story of Jack and his magical beans? From a handful of humble beans sprang untold riches for a poor farm boy and his impoverished mother! Seems preposterous, just a fairytale, but wait a minute. Those beans might have some magic for us, too, if we give them a chance.

Consider the lowly bean for a moment—its variety, flavor, nutritional value, low cost and availability are unparalleled.

Michael Greger, M.D.,founder of NUTRITIONFACTS.ORG, puts beans at the top of his DAILY DOZEN.

Joel Furhman, M.D., author and lecturer, calls beans A Super Food for their promotion of excellent health and longevity!

Neal Barnard, M.D., founder and President of The Physicians Committee, tells us eating beans instead of beef can help save the planet and improve our health.

We know beans are a low-fat, high fiber source of protein. Numerous clinical studies point to the healing properties of beans when included in the daily diet and when eaten in place of meat.

All beans are magical! Try them today—home cooked or canned—add an onion, chopped pepper, chopped tomatoes, chopped greens 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 2 tablespoons any vinegar, a squirt of hot sauce, cook and serve over rice. Now let the magic begin!
