Surf Cantina hosts fifth annual Sling N’ Squash
Big Chill Surf Cantina hosted the fifth annual Sling N’ Squash in the parking lot behind the bar Nov. 12.
Emcee and Cantina employee Matt Garbutt said the event was started as a way to keep alive the pumpkin-tossing tradition, started by Punkin Chunkin years ago, in Sussex County. This year, he added, Sling N’ Squash also served as a fundraiser for Rehoboth Community Resource Center.
Nearly two dozen men and women competed for first-place cash prizes of $500 each.
