Milford High to present ‘The Rainbow Fish’ Nov. 18-19

November 17, 2022

The students of Milford High School’s Drama Club are thrilled to present “The Rainbow Fish” at 6 p.m., Friday,  Nov. 18, and 1 and 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, in the auditorium at 1019 N. Walnut St., Milford.

The play is an adaptation of the popular children’s book of the same name.

With unique rainbow scales that make her the most beautiful fish in the sea, Rainbow Fish is also vain and selfish, and the other sea creatures do not want to be her friends. However, with a little help from a wise Octopus, Starfish, Hermit Crab and a range of other sea creatures, Rainbow Fish learns that it is more important to be nice than to just look nice.

Director Carissa Meiklejohn said, “For this show, we are focusing on our youngest audience members with an enjoyable, interactive performance that teaches positive messages about sharing, character and friendship. The shorter length and earlier start times are ideal for little ones, though the show will be entertaining for all ages.”

The show lasts just under an hour and is performed without an intermission.

Cast and crew members include Aria Boyton, Charleen Chavez, Frank Delli Paoli, Grace Dupiche, William Donald Evans, Faith Roseren Haymond, Marcel Kellam, Autumn McCormick, Cameron Murray, Gage Nordberg, Nick Maxwell Outten, Jude Parfitt, Alvaro Perez, Phoebe Sampah, Kylie Short, Emily Smallwood, Bronx Stanfield, Boe Stoliker, Emmilea Stoliker, Julie Swigert, Stephanie Rosario Tirado, Mariah Todd and Taylor Tyree.

Tickets are $7 for adults, and $5 for students and senior citizens; they will be available at the door.
