Wendell Alfred was a gentleman living down the street on Pilottown Road. I would often stop and chat with him and Mike. Mike was the person with a love of the yard’s care. Their home and yard was lovely, always …
Then Mike’s health went south. Wendell did the right and caring thing. They moved to Fourth Street where the burdensome lawn/yard was not the same. Mike’s health was allowed the space to improve.
Along with Wendell’s many accomplishments, you can add compassion. But back to my first statement: Wendell Alfred was, and is, a gentleman.
In our vitriolic political world, we need gentlemen.
We shall support Wendell Alfred for Lewes Board of Public Works. Please consider doing likewise.
