Parrot Heads raise $13,500 for Higher Ground Outreach

Delaware Seashore Parrot Head Club held its 22nd annual Boat Drinks Bacchanal fundraising event May 20 at Northbeach restaurant in Dewey Beach.

Entertainment was provided by Jimmy and the Parrots for the more than 300 people who attended and donated to this year's charity, Higher Ground Outreach of Georgetown.

A check for $13,500 was presented to support Higher Ground Outreach’s mission to see families and individuals free from homelessness and addictions, and with its assistance, to become mentally, physically and spiritually healthier.

Over the past 10 years, the club has raised and donated over $100,000 to local charities. Delaware Seashore Parrot Head Club is a not-for-profit organization whose motto is Party with a Purpose.
