Gorgeous Georgetown Gardens honorees announced

Georgetown Arts & Flowers, a community organization which promotes the attractiveness of the historic county seat, has commended eight homes in the town for maintaining Gorgeous Georgetown Gardens.

The homes selected are located at: 229 South Bedford St., 203 North Front St., 4 Edward St., 212 Wilson St., 315 Calhoun St., 216 South Bedford St., 19144 County Seat Highway and 218 South Race St.

Each of the homeowners were visited by members of the Georgetown Arts and Flowers group, and was given a Gorgeous Georgetown Garden sign to display in their garden. The yards and gardens are all maintained by the homes’ residents.

Georgetown Arts and Flowers is a nonprofit group of talented volunteer gardeners who plant and maintain gardens in The Circle and at landmark buildings in town.
