Cybersecurity workshops for seniors to start Oct. 3

September 27, 2023

In partnership with the Delaware Department of Technology and Information, the Lewes Public Library will host free cybersecurity workshops for seniors at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 3, Wednesday, Oct. 11 and Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes. The workshops will also be available to attend online via Zoom.

The Oct. 3 program will focus on identity theft and provide strategies for protecting one’s identity while using the internet.

Securing one’s devices is the Oct. 11 topic, addressing the risks and best practices for storing personal information on electronic devices.

The final session Oct. 17 will review current scams and how to differentiate legitimate activities from those that only seem to be genuine.

Registration is required, and participants may choose to attend any or all of the series. At registration, virtual or in-person attendance will be offered.

To sign up, go to lewes.lib.de.us or call the library at 302-645-2733.
