Beacon wrestling defeats Mariner 58-27

The Beacon versus Mariner Wednesday afternoon Big House rivalry meet featured 20 bouts, beginning with four exhibitions followed by 16 weight classes progressive from the light to heavy.

Beacon won the match 58-27, as they finished the dual meet season with a record of 8-1. 

Winning for Beacon were Finn Gannon, Briggs Gannon, Connor Gordy, Kellan Cressler, Blake Walker, Anthony Smith, Dom Silvestre, Andrew Messick, Finn Colbourne, Ronin Chmelewski and Cole Goodsell.

Chmelewski finished the season undefeated at 9-0.

Winning for Mariner were Jack Hudson, Jayden Pinkard, Mike Clark, Bryce Biles and Javier Morales-Robleo. 

Mariner finished the dual meet season 4-7.

Both Cape middle schools will compete at the Middle School Wrestling Classic Saturday, Feb. 3 at Milford High School.
